Now, this is crazy British reading. My dad falls asleep any time he reads this book, but I laugh my patootie off every time I read it. And really, with such jewels as
"This must be Thursday," said Arthur to himself, sinking low over his beer, "I never could get the hang of Thursdays"
and
"Space," it says, "is big. Really big. You just won't believe how vastly hugely mindbogglingly big it is. I mean you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist, but that's just peanuts to space."
And who can forget
"In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry, and has been widely regarded as a bad idea."
Now, if none of that was funny to you, do not read this book. I suggest you read Dave Barry, or maybe Jon Stewart. Some good American humor for those of you who can't handle the British.

Phone: Ring! Ring!
Me: (just having gotten off the school bus) Oh, it's the phone! (answers) Hello?
Jason: Annie?
Me: Yes?
Jason: Hi. It's Jason.
Me: Oh, hi. What's up? (very confused)
Jason: Well, um, I was calling because...um...
Me: ...Yeah?
Jason: Colin doesn't want to go out with you any more.
Me: Oh.
Jason: Yeah. He just doesn't want a girlfriend.
Me: Oh. (tearing up) Ok. Well. I have to go.
Jason: Yeah. See you in German tomorrow.
Me: OK. (hangs up, bursts in to tears).
You know, those seventh grade relationships really made a big difference in my life.
If only it hadn't happened again in eighth, tenth, and twelfth grade...;)

Oh my right hand, I have a long scar between my first and second knuckle. I got it riding my bike into a rose bush about ten minutes after I got a very large scar on my right shoulder. That one I got also riding my bike. I hit the wrong break (*not wearing a helmet*) and flew over my handlebars, and landed on my right side. So, yeah, big scar there too. I have a scar above one of my eyebrows (I cannot for the life of my think of which one) from when I ran into the table when I was three years old. Those are by big story scars.
I am going to try to be more creative with these soon. Right now I think I am just trying to get in the groove.
