    • CHUCK IT ALL!
      • Fresh air! Times Square!

        American Gothic

I am just about ready to chuck it all. I quit my job in January, the "for sale" sign goes in front of my house TODAY, and I am sick of life in the city. (fade in "Green Acres" theme song....)

There goes the suit and tie. There is my poor Texan wife being yanked by the arm to stage left. The car is packed like the Beverly Hillbillies, and we're off to.....?

        coffee shop bar

I like to wear my favorite Liberal T-Shirts when I go to my Christian Men's Group. Shirts that support Ralph Nader, Obama, or something fun like Gay Marriages or a woman's right to choose. Always makes the coffee taste better. Life is worth living if you're pissing somebody off!

      • You Want Good Sushi?

Family friends for years. Raised our little kids together (now adults), traveled together, re-visited when we are back in each other's country. These folks are wonderful!
They also have great sushi parties, and know where the good sake is kept. We love them dearly.

      • People Outside the Boat!

        Jimmy Carter
Everybody hated him as President. Yet, he stuck by his convictions, and continues to live his life according to the same principles now well into his 80's.

        Bill Cosby
He is funny. But he is also very well educated, and not afraid to kick people's butts when they need it (black or white).

        John Eldredge
Not afraid to live his life outside the boat. And has encouraged many others to do the same (including me).
