Hello I'm Sarah and this is my story about volunteering!

Yes I do volunteer and I love volunteering my time. Places I have volunteered are: The out of the cold Program (feeding the homeless through the winter months and giving them a warm place to stay at night) My duties when I help out there are to sit at the front desk and ask the people their names and if they will be staying the night and write it down in the binder. The other place I enjoy volunteering at is the OSM Firefighters hockey and curling tournaments. A couple years ago there was a bad snow storm the day of the curling tournament so not everyone could come to the curling tournament that was suppose to so I said that I would play if anyone needed me to. I ended up playing the whole day. They didn't really end up keeping score. So at the end of the day they took all the 2nds n each person got to throw one rock and the closest to it won. I ended up winning so My team (team I had mainly played with in the tournament) won the trophy! It was a fun time. Then we all partied and after I helped clean up and then we took all the empties over to the fire hall and my cousin drove me home. Last weekend I volunteered at the OSM Firefighters hockey tournament. I went over at 8:30 am and helped in the kitchen getting the chilli ready. Then at noon the score keeper that was doing the time box had to leave so I went and kept score the rest of the games. It was a lot of fun. Then after it was over we hungout there n partied. Then around 5:30 everyone left and went into the bars. I wish I could have gone but I had to work at the arena until 7:45! So thats what I enjoy doing for volunteering.

Yes I have a cat.....her name is Patches, She is 11 years old and we have had her for 11 years. She is black and white and thinks she is a skunk and plays with skunks all the time. She has been sprayed about 8 times now.....I nicknamed her "skunkers". Then I also have 3 Catfish....Their names are Sharky, Leona & nippers. I have had them for about 7 years now. In the summer they are outside in my pond and in the winter I have them in a tank in my room.

Yes I do have a younger brother! When he was only 2 years old he was diagnosed with a childhood cancer called Retinoblastoma. He lost the eye and now he has a glass/prostedic eye. He has played hockey and baseball all his life. Even played AAA hockey in Peterborough for 3 years! When we were younger we didnt get along the greatest but now we do get along most of the time. He just turned 21 on Thursday April 14th.
