Stand By Me by Stephen King
My all time favorite movie from a book is definitely "Stand By Me". I love Stephen King and I absolutely adored River Phoenix. He is one of the few movie actors I think did exceptional work. It is just too sad that his life was taken at such an early age. He had so much more in him. I will never forget where I was and what I was doing when I found out he died. It was 1993 and that very day, I had gotten a new kitten. I brought the kitten back and heard it on the TV about River Phoenix. I had not paid too much attention to the TV as I was busy trying to coax this little kitten from under the couch.
Well, I stopped straight in my tracks and started crying when I saw it on the TV. After a bit, the little kitten came out on his own as if he knew I needed some attention. He crawled right up in my lap and just lay there. From that moment on, his name became Phoenix. And Phoenix live a long and happy life until 3 years ago. He passed away, in his old age, just as River Phoenix should have.

- Where Do I Find The Time??
-
Take your pick; I am a walking library!! ;-)
I don't have much time for what some may call "pleasure" reading. Being a full time student and a single parent keeps me on my toes. I don't know what I would do without my boyfriend's help. I thoroughly enjoy reading books that will help me after graduating with my degree in Internet Marketing/New Media. I have been reading lots of blogs and white papers and books about several subjects.
Mainly, the subjects I read about are:
** Blogging
** Web site design
** Inspirational quotation books
** Volunteering
** Entrepreneurship books
** Organizational books
** Social Media Books
** Branding (Personally & Professionally)
** Networking
** Internet Marketing
** Other forms of Advertising
** SEO
** Affiliate Marketing
** Guerrilla Marketing
** And the list goes on and on and on......
BUT THAT'S GREAT!!
It keeps me busy and at the same time, helps me prepare for my future career.

- My Secret Super Power Revealed!!
-
I will still be able to use it on those who deserve it!!
My secret superpower is the ability to make people underestimate me. People in this country are so judgmental and biased; it is almost humorous. I can't stand that in a person. There are very few things that REALLY get under my skin but judgmental people and liars make me so mad I see red. There is just no excuse for anyone to have either of those traits. First of all, who has the right to judge anyone; instead they should in the mirror. As far as liars, it is just frustrating because it gets the point where they are so good at it; they actually believe their own lies.
My superpower is that I am able to get people to underestimate me due to my appearance and this gives me a huge advantage. I have 13 tattoos and 3 piercings on my face. People see my tattoos and piercings and think somehow that makes me less intelligent or less resourceful. Actually the exact opposite is true. Over the years, I have learned to be very resourceful as I had no choice as it was a situation where it was for my son who I would do anything for.
I believe in life long learning and this doesn't always mean having a piece of paper where your name is printed on it and is says you have a degree in whatever subject. I am in school to obtain a degree in my skills only so I can make money with my talents. But everything I have learned is by self-teaching through researching the internet and trial and error.
Now, darnit....I let the cat out of the bag and I will have to be even more convincing with my strategy. ;-p
