- My favorite place to hear music: Merriweather Pavilion

I love this venue. Although it's not some place that Lady Gaga would perform. I've seen Green Day and Velvet Revolver here. It was just lovely. A woodsy setting and the place has a history with all the iconic bands and singers that have performed there.
However, not many acts lately are going there. Jimmy Buffet stopped going there for whatever reason. All acts seem to go to the Jiffy Lube Pavilion in VA, which is a horrible place. I refuse to go to Jiffy Lube.

- A Memorable Job Interview

Sweet ending to a crappy interview.
I once intereviewed for an Executive Assistant position with Mars Bioscience. They are a part of the Mars company that makes Snickers and M&Ms and other yummy chocolate.
The interview didn't go well. I could tell right off they didn't want me and I wasn't in the mood to be there. I was trying very hard to conceal the fact I was pregnant and trying not to dip into every bowl of Snickers, Twix, M&Ms, etc that was on every table top.
As I said goodbye I was informed I had a parting gift, thanking me for coming to the interview. It was a box LOADED with all the chocolate Mars makes. I was in Heaven!
I was so glad to leave that interview and those people and the building but that box was tucked under my arm like a precious kitten or something.
