    • If I had a kid, I'd take them to the beach...
      • If I had a kid, I would take him or her to the beach down in Wildwood, NJ. As far as I know that's the first beach I went to when I was a newborn because my family always vacationed down there in the summer. The only problem with going to Belmar, Point Pleasant, and Seaside is that I'm too close to home; at least with Wildwood, I'm 2 hours away in southern New Jersey. I'd wanna give my kid a similar experience to what I grew up with.

    • Hey, times are tough, but 3 things keep me going...
      • I have a job
I have a steady and paying job at my town's supermarket. This is good because I could use some more money to put in the bank.

        My last year of school
It's my last year of high school and I couldn't be happier; it's time to move on, enough is enough. I can't wait to go to college because I'll be more independent in the school setting.

My car is in working order
After many months, my truck is running and driving perfectly. From May to November, my truck had some minor mechanical issues, but thankfully my family and I got it in perfect mechanical condition.

    • At times, there's nothing more you can do...
      • To me there are four situations when quitting is the best way out. The first situation is when there is absolutely nothing more you can do in the moment you are in. The second is when others around you are not giving you a chance to speak, think, and/or operate clearly and efficiently, such as a workplace and an employer. Third, when your life is in clear and present danger, and finally, when you're in a hospital recovering from an injury you received from going too far instead of quitting.

Sometimes in the third situation, not quitting is worth saving someone else's life or the property of others. However, there are situations where quitting while you're ahead can benefit you. Personally speaking, I recovered from a concussion that I got in February of this year. I got a concussion from face-planting into a street by chasing my friend's car up the street while she was pulling away. What led to this was my friends and I fooling around with her car by tapping on the glass and trying to be funny. If I had quit fooling around by a car and walked away, I wouldn't have spent a weekend in a hospital half-unconscious. The exact moment before I started running up the street chasing after a car should have been the moment I quit fooling around. It would have been an acceptable time to quit.

    • I wish I could see my uncle more often...
      • My uncle Paul is one relative that I wish I saw more frequently. Him and my aunt Shirley live in Milltown, which is more than an hour and a half away from both my house and my grandparent's house. My Uncle is in his mid 70's, but he is still one of the most fun and understanding family members I have; with his energy, enthusiasm, and always positive attitude, anybody would think he is much younger than he is. I hold my uncle Paul in high regard.

I see my Uncle on the holidays and family birthdays, but that only amounts to maybe 10 times a year at most. Because my uncle and aunt live so far away, I don't exactly have enough time to travel up to Milltown, stay and visit for a while, and drive back home. However, they do have a beach house in Seaside and since I got my license they have offered many times for me to come down to the beach and visit. Hopefully, this summer I will have enough time to do so; unfortunately last year was just not possible because of my first job.

    • The world's ending! Let's go to Vegas...
      • The absolute last place on Earth I would go to for celebrating the end of the world would be Las Vegas. If I found out for a fact that the world was going to end, I would take the first available flight out there with all the money I could take. I would party and live it up like there's no tomorrow because there literally wouldn't be one. I probably wouldn't survive the apocalypse, so I'd rather die wasted and having fun then die in a natural disaster.
