- Wacky Advice -- But Useful
-
This advice was given to me as a parent, however, i am realizing it translates into so many other parts of our lives...
"Once you think you've got it all right, it's definately not. As long as everything feels messed up, you are on the right track!"

Son's Burpees
I wouldn't grab anything for myself. I'm a big girl I know what is important. I would, however, save my son's burpees that he cuddles with. With everything else potentially destroyed in a fire, these would help him heal.

- I ain't afraid of no ghost
-
I am a Christian and believe in the Rapture, therefore I do not believe in ghosts. I have a few theorys though. I do not think people who experience these phenomona are crazy.
Theory #1) What if what we think of as ghosts are entirely other beings also created by God? We only use what, like 10% of our brains? What if these beings are here to spur us on to use MORE of our brains to understand and know them?
Theory #2) Emotions give off energy, so I can believe that "ghosts" are residual energy. That is a totally logical explanation.
Finally Theory #3) God sees all time and space at once, could it be possible that sometimes God gives us glimpses of his view? So things that have happened, or will happen, kinda overlap in OUR time?

Beam Family @ Ward Family Reunion
AS President, I would do my damndest to fix the American family. Make people accountable for and to their children. Tougher laws on deadbeat dads, rework welfare to NOT reward people for having more children than they can take care of, overhaul the social services so they can better do thier job, instead of just judging those that physically discipline their children.
Fixing the american family fixes America. If BOTH parents are more involved with their children, the children are likley to behave better, do better in school, and grow up to look for, find and nurture a healthy relationship.
It all comes down to family. It always does. I am not saying that divorce will be a thing of the past, but that both parents understand their obligation to their child, together or otherwise.
I am also not saying that love and nurturing will make all American kids straight A students, but how awesome would it be if every child in the country was actually performing to their potential? more kids going to college, not relying on McJobs, and getting real careers? More people with real careers means more tax dollars to do with what needs to be done, Republican or Democrat, you cannot argue with that!
I would also name Bill Cosby as my Secretary of Common Sense!

Okay, silly as it may sound, if I could have ANY job in the world (and money was not an object) I would want to be the food delivery guy at the Pentagon. He gets to ride ALL those hallways on a rockin' tricycle...tell me that's not cool! The runner up would be being part of the team tha tputs together the morning brief for the president...you know get him all caught up on what happened while he was asleep. I think this job's "Rockability" rating comes from the fact that when you get home and your spouse asks..."What happened at work today" you could honestly say, "I can't talk about it"
