Skinny Dipping in the summer
Every year I encounter something completely foreign that leaves a great impact in my memory. I love trying things new, especially with friends. This past year during the summer, Kaela, Brittany, and I had promised each other that we would go skinny dipping at midnight somewhere in Lake Limerick. Where would we go dipping? We debated that for a while since some of the docks around the lake were being supervised and others were just too far away to walk in the dark. Our decision was made: we would go skinning dipping at the shore of the Clubhouse, a restaurant on the lake that was supposed to be closed by midnight.
When it was midnight, the three of us made our way to the Clubhouse by walking down the train tracks with towels and a flashlight. We saw a problem when we arrived at the restaurant: the bar was still open and there was still a group of people there. This would not have been a problem if the bar didn't have a large window facing the lake, but there was one. We scouted out in the bushes hoping the people would leave. The whole situation was silly since we were army-crawling on the lawn and hiding behind plants trying not to be spotted. One by one the people left, but by 1am there was one guy left in the bar. He sat with his back to the window, watching television. Kaela, Brittany, and I made the daring decision to strip naked and jump into the lake. Of course, there was a whole lot of racket from our giggles and splashes when we jumped off of the dock, but the guy in the bar never looked out to the lake- THANKFULLY.

Leadership Conference 2008

I was supposed to go to a youth leadership conference in New Mexico a few weeks ago. It was also a soccer cup. I didn't know how to play soccer, but I was eager to go to the conference anyway. Our flight was canceled and such because my chaperone's relative passed away and the funeral was on the same day as our intended departure.
