      • In response to: "Even if you aren't a chef, what's your favorite dish to prepare?" I am not a chef, in fact I am not overly fond of cooking but I love preparing Thanksgiving dinner. Planning the menu, shopping for the ingredients and then preparing it for my family to enjoy.

    • City or Country?

      • I am a city gal but am now living in small town USA due to my husband's job and I am not liking it at all. I miss all the city has to offer. In addition I am living in cold winter weather small town USA and I am used to warm, even hot city weather. I miss swimming pools, the sun, the beach. Be able to throw on flip flops and a dress. I miss the parks, theaters, museums that big cities offer. I miss the trolley in San Diego. It was so great not having to drive to work. I miss the many concert events when I lived in Phoenix. I am a city gal through and through. I am having a heck of time adjusting to small town living. When I go back to visit I soak it all in to hopefully hold me over till next time I can get back to the city. Even more so now with the winter months here. I hate driving on a country road at night for fear I will hit something. I already hit a deer and that was horrible. So to repeat I am a big city gal!!

    • My End of Day Routine

      • The first thing I do when get off of work is drive home. I have a 30-40 min commute. I plug my iphone into my car stereo and blast tunes all the way home. Some days I don't mind the drive but there are times I wish I worked closer to home. Winter is around the corner and I don't look forward to icy roads. Though this is my second winter in Idaho and at this job so I have already discussed with my boss working from home when the roads are dicey and he said that was fine.

        Once I get home it depends on whether I need to make dinner or not. If so I get on that, something quick and easy. My husband works a rotating schedule so sometimes it is just for my 15 year stepdaughter and myself. Though lately I have taken to cooking meals ahead for the times my husband will not be home for dinner. I have grown quite fond of doing meals this way. If I don't have to do dinner then it depends if I have school work or it is my night to go to Bible Study. Sometimes when my husband is working I might herd our dogs into the jeep and take them for a walk down by the falls.

    • The Hotest Hot Versus the Coldest Cold

      • Phoenix approach

        I would rather live in extremely hot weather. I lived in Phoenix AZ for a couple of decades and now live where it gets bitter cold. As low as -22 with -38 wind chill!! There is so much wrong about that. I miss being lazy by the pool with my daughters and girlfriends. Drinking margaritas and listening to music. I miss living in Phoenix!!

    • The Funniest TV Show

      • Joel McHale

        I love The Soup on E network with Joel McHale. It is one of the funniest shows on TV. I have been watching it since it was called Talk Soup and Greg Kinnear hosted it. The way they make fun of the most absurd things on TV is great. Both of these guys are funny and entertaining. I love watching the things they have gone to do. I love Joel's show Community, it is absurd and crazy.
