It doesn't snow often here in Seattle, so we take full advantage of it. The motley assortment of mismatched snow clothes come out and we go sledding down the sizable hill near our house. My oldest son's best friend lives right across the street, so they keep each other entertained while I sneak away to drink hot cocoa and read a book. (In my dreams. In reality, I sneak away to do housework or change the dirty diapers of my youngest son. Ah, parenthood...)

    • Ignorance Is (Sometimes) Bliss
      • Generally I would say yes. But there are certain situations where I think "don't ask, don't tell" is a good policy (not, for the record, in the military). For example, after a year of dating, my current boy friend and I split up. It was a short split, and we were back together three months later. What he did during those three months, I don't know... and I don't want to. He would've been well within his rights to date and (ahem) be intimate with other people. If he was, I don't want to know and so I've never asked. (He's never asked me either, so I assume he feels the same.)
