    • In defense of my vice: Alcohol

      • Started when I was 15 or so I think. That was my first beer anyway, together with a friend whilst playing a game on his Nintendo 64. Only really got into it when I started going to university and joined a fraternity (it's Dutch, it's different).

        Awesome things always seem to happen when I'm slightly sedated. It makes life a little bit more exciting. Not something to keep doing forever and I'm pretty sure I'd qualify as an alcoholic following official criteria, but societies norms are to be taken with a pinch of salt when you're a student.

        I would quit when I really would have to do serious work on a rigid timetable. Now no-one cares if I show up to study from 13:00 'til 17:00 and still manage to pass classes. No such luck when you're involved in the 'real world' I guess. Carpe diem.
