      • In response to: "Even if you aren't a chef, what's your favorite dish to prepare?" My favorites? I love hearty foods like: roasts, chicken and dumplings, stews, southern fried steak with potatoes, and lasagna. Now with that being said, I love to make 'em but my rear end doesn't!!

    • White Spot Cafe' is my favorite 'Mom & Pop' shop
      • One of the oldest Cafe's in Anchorage, that lived through the 1964 earthquake to say that they've been around since 1958...thats old school for Anchorage! It's just a little hole in the wall with great food and a fun atmosphere!

Amazing halibut sandwiches, and fresh cut fries! The quantity, and quality is outstanding and the family that runs the place are great true Alaskans!

    • Advice you've been given that you think everyone should hear...
      • Regarding child-rearing...

"These are the longest days, but the shortest years."

How true that is, Casey is 15 this year and all I can think is that I don't want to see her childhood end yet... I didn't do half the stuff I wanted with her. I know that we have an amazing bond that can't be broke, but dang I sure wanted to show her much more.... no regrets; at least that's what I'm suppose to say I guess. Lesson hard learned. So, to all of you with young ones at home; hold them close and don't let the dishes and life's task take you away from what is most important... like they say... love them like there is no tomorrow!!!

    • My favorite room
      • Villa Sienna master bedroom

The favorite room in the house for my family and friends seems to be my kitchen; no matter what else is going on in the house you will usually see everyone congregating in the kitchen/office area; it never fails.... we all love good eats and long winded conversations (which; if you know me at all you know I can burn some serious ear!)...

My favorite room on the other hand is my bedroom... I LOVE the color of the room and the nice peaceful feel it gives. I look forward to crawling in bed and reading a good book. My girls love to come and snuggle me or just lay on the bed and hang out. That's when we really get to have the good talks! We also love to snuggle up and enjoy a good movie or just play around not to mention the fact that they've slept with me most of there lives so it's funny to see 5 girls all crammed into one king size bed!... I'm really going to miss these times when they grow up.
