- Livin' Large in the City!

Sears Tower, Chicago, Illinois
Chicago, no doubt! I'm not sure what it is about the Windy City that I love so much, but if I had to pick any large city to live in for a year it'd be Chicago.
I love the fact that it's on Lake Michigan; the beaches are gorgeous. And it's a major city! What kinda city like that has a beautiful beach in the Midwest?? Not many. It's a great mix of city and beach not to far from me.
Plus, Chicago is the city I've been to the most outside of my own. Well, Chicago and Washington D.C. because my sister goes to school there. But Chicago has always felt like a second home. I've almost always known someone who lives here and I want to live there myself.
That's it; if I had to pick a large city to live in for a year it'd be Chicago, Illinois. No question.

- The Art of Noveling
-
I'm working on that right now! Well, I'm not actually working on a book but I'm trying to get my skills together to do just that. I'm a writer at heart and being a New York Times best-selling author would be amazing.
The kicker is figuring out what to write about. I'm thinking of expanding a story I wrote for National Novel Writing Month in November 2010. It was pretty cool but a lot of pressure! But it was worth it; I wrote over 52,000 words (the challenge was 50,000)!
Writing has always been a strength and passion of mine. I just have to tap into my inner-writer and fleshing things out. Just getting ideas on paper, even if they don't go far. I'll find inspiration...probably in places I least expect.
Answering the original question, YES I dream of writing novel all the time. I just have to put my ideas into action!

Washing dishes and cleaning counters, definitely. Laundry I don't mind; I love my clothes coming out all nice and clean. But washing dishes is just annoying for some reason! It's weird too because I love water. Maybe because our dishes need to be done every other day, using up the water bill and all. That's a possibility.
We use paper plates and cups sometimes so washing gets less during those times of abundance, but we still tend to wash dishes rather frequently. I just can't bring myself to feel like doing them. Vacuuming is the same way; I tend to be a bit lazy about it.
Really, I hate doing them all. It's a miracle our house is even as clean as it is. But dishes are particularly irksome.

- What I Love About My Home Town
-
You know what my favorite thing about Detroit is? Well, I have two. I'll elaborate on Belle Isle first.
Belle Isle is this beautiful island (exactly what its name means) situated in the middle of the Detroit River between Detroit and Windsor. It's only point of access is from Jefferson Avenue in the city. It's a lovely island and there's more nature there than almost everywhere else in the city.
It's especially beautiful in the summer when all the trees are in bloom and the water is crystal clear and there are flowers everywhere. There's also an amazing fountain that's beautiful in the summer when it's running.
Detroit is also amazing for being so close to Canada.
