    • Vice Killer or Vice Precedent?
      • addiction

If you had to give up one vice, what would it be?

So many vices so little time... Before I go hypothetically abandoning a vice all willy nilly it would be a good idea to catalog said vices.

Let's see what I have here...

        caffeine
        drinking
sugar.... this one flares when I try to lay off on the former.
        an occasional cigarette

It seems like the obvious answer would be to give up the one in which I indulge least often which would be smoking. However, with a deeper look, one that doesn't cause any flare in other vices could be a good one to let go of. That being said, If I had to I would give up sugar because it doesn't result in any more ingesting of caffeine, alcohol or cigarettes. Meanwhile the ceasing of drinking may lead to a flare in in sugar consumption and smoking, while the ceasing of caffeine may lead to the increase in nicotine consumption or worse, narcolepsy. All in all, my vices are mild and none are quite worthy of the effort of abstaining.

Given such, I'm inspired to pour a glass of wine and contemplate potential future vices.

    • Ink - If Tattoos Only Lasted a Year, Would You Get One?
      • ink falling

If tattoos lasted for only 1 year I think I would get one. In fact, my only objection to tattoos on myself is that I am afraid that I would get sick of whatever I picked and then wish it wasn't there. You know kind of like fear of long term relationships. I kid but, when I was younger I wanted to get some sort of light tattoo, perhaps in Japanese-style art of a wave and a snowflake. Being a Scorpio, I am quite drawn to the water and although it may sound cliche the draw is real and so strong the words cannot do the feeling justice. Frozen, in motion, I love it, not to mention it's necessary for life. A year with this tattoo would be a nice trial run, if I had the time to vet it, I just may want to keep it for the long haul.

On the other hand, a month seems too short and is reminiscent of something childish like face paint, or drawing on yourself in high school. Having a tattoo for a month is so ineffectual that I just don't see the point.

Just for some added commentary, sleeves on men are extremely sexy, and tasteful artistic pieces on women have caught my gaze on many occasion.

    • Stoked?
      • I get really excited about small things, like a cold beer on a hot day, but I last time I got really excited where I felt like my feelings looked like this little squish face was the last time I went snowboarding! Playing like a little kid makes you feel like a little kid. It's totally AWESOME!

    • If I could tame a wild animal...
      • I kept a wild animal as a pet for 5 years. I lived with it and even f&*$# it. It was a rare breed of rukus manbeast. It was great fun but in the end I had to release him back in the wild to roam with his own kind. I like to think he liked being my pet and I entertain the idea that maybe when he wakes up in growling start from his slumber he's having bad dreams about me. :) Dedicated to Joe Marcus.
