    • Last Library Visit
      • I am not sure if it counts, but there is a Friends of the Santee Library book Store that sells the old books from the library and also donated books to raise $$ for the library. So, long story short (not really), 7 months ago which was the last time I was in the states. (If you live in the San Diego area, its a neat little store and they also have some antique books that have been donated).

    • Kids Today
      • 1. Information, via internet, cable TV, smart phones.

        2. Instant communication from everywhere via text

        3. Digital books, specifically school books. I hated toting those big old things around.

        Disadvantages:
        1. Peace and quiet, I miss the days of not being able to be reached

        2. Distractions, with twitter, facebook, texts, (on and on) they are constantly bombarded with stimulus

        3. Knowledge, there are things that our kids have access to that they don't need to know about or worry about when they are kids, they should just be able to be kids.
