        Just over ten years ago, I was taking one-day-at-a-time with no expectations, living on autopilot.

        Had I ever thought I would out-live my child, that I would move from my hometown and the beautiful snowy Christmas season to Florida, or that I would be unemployed for over two years and living with family? Absolutely not! Nonetheless, that is what my life is like today.

        Plans / expectations are fine but no matter which route you take, you can be sure that God is right there with you. He will equip you and sustain you. He will give you the grace, the supernatural empowerment, to make it through.

        My Grandmother introduced Religion to me and as a very young child I clearly remember her teaching me the Golden Rule, using the following words - “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” To this day, those words are a constant in my mind, it is as though I never need to remember them, and they are just there.

        For over ten years, I have been grieving the loss of someone very dear to me and have been unable to feel true happiness or joy.

        One day, not too long ago, it came to me, I realized I was happy! Without searching for it, but never giving-up, Happiness has “snuck” into my life by the name of Riley.
