My favorite film is my favorite film partly because of the perfect ending. A young writer and a rock star, after both falling for the same girl in very different ways, end up - well, together. The writer gets the exclusive interview of a lifetime, published in Rolling Stone, and the rock star gets a much-needed publicity boost to help his career. No one gets the girl, but she gets to take the trip of a lifetime on her own. She gets freedom.

The movie is "Almost Famous." The ending is almost flawless.
