It was about 11:00 PM, NOV 1; I'd been sleeping on a park bench in Candler Park; when I woke up, in a city of 5.992 M people, it was awfully cold, and I was shivering. I needed a plan; one that included nobody else, in order to make it work. There's nothing lonelier than a homeless man in Atlanta!

The plan, slowly coagulating in my super-cooled brain, involved spending the rest of a frigid night at the bus station downtown, and eventually ending up many, many miles south of here, where the nights out in the park would not be so cool.

It's almost 1:30 AM[NOV 2]; I'm in out of the cold; & my bus leaves the station, bound for Albany, GA, at 4 AM. My hope is, that when I arrive, at about 7:30 in the morning, that I can lose some of these layers that I've been wearing, & that I'll discover a town that has a heart for its homeless.

When I'm in the laundromat, washing out a few things, perhaps I'll meet someone there, who also wants to wave bye-bye to loneliness[forever].

when we were living in VEGAS, we found 'one of those places;' it was out by the lake, and you practically needed a map to navigate from the SLOTS, through the HOTEL to this swanky restaurant's entrance; the menu barely mentioned a 'choice' where the CHEF made your choices for you, and paraded a variety of what emerged from their kitchen[about $100/per]; it was more exciting[& rewarding] than the ACTION up in the casino; we loved the fare[& the treatment] so much, that I brought my mother-in-law with us for a night of exploratory cuisine
