    • The worst advice I was given that turned out for the best
      • When listening to others, you can't help but to drowned their narcissistic opinions out. However, when good advice brushes up to the ear, we welcome it with open arms and open minds.

When I was in the 5th grade, my guidance counselor asked me in front of the class what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said an actress. He then convinced me that I needed a more obtainable career. Oh right, how about I just be a elementary school guidance counselor who makes $30,000 or less a year. Or how about I ignore you and become an actress and make $30,000 or less a year doing what I love. Being an actress doesn't necessarily mean I'm out to be famous you Debbie downer kid dream killer!

I took this advice from him, " to choose a more obtainable career," and shoved it out the window fast. Best advice I was given because it got me even more driven to prove him wrong.

    • A Fly in My Next Life?
      • I guess if I'm a fly in my next life, I'd be questioning what I did in my past life that was soo bad to have been morphed into a fly.

I would spend the whole funeral contemplating every action of my previous life as Jamie.. Did I talk to much as a human, not listen enough to the people around me? Is being a fly really a deserving price to pay for lieing to my professors here and there for paper deadline extensions?

At least being a fly will open up food event invitations for me or lack there of. Maybe I'm looking at this the wrong way. I would be able to fly. Although I doubt my fear of car collisions will reduce..

    • The Last Time I Thanked Someone
      • Yesterday was a great day. Amazing weather, good company and a smooth day at work. So I decided to thank the wonderful powers of the universe. Everything was aligned and working out for the best. Considering the day before was defected with numerous faults, I grasped Thursday into my arms and hugged it tightly.
