    • My Perfect Sunday Morning

      • Wake up around 8:45ish, realise it's Sunday and snuggle back down into my duvet to sleep and rest until about 10am. Then I get up and look out of the window to see a neat white coat of snow covering everything. I put The Smiths on and make myself loads of warm buttery toast and jam with a cup of tea. I settle down in front of the telly to discover that it's a Nigella's Kitchen marathon on The Food Network.

      • Q. Ever had a shower at an odd time? When and why?
        A. Yesterday, 2am. I woke in a cold sweat after dreaming that I lived with an untidy squid. There was ink everywhere. Naturally, when I awoke I thought that my sweat was the ink I dreamed of - I felt dirty.

        Q: What do you think of the French?
        A: Personally, I'm too tired to think about the French. They're a good people, I imagine. I love crepes and croissants. So baking-wise I appreciate the culture. However, you cannot beat the Irish.

        Q: What is?
        A: Everyone knows that is is is. Where is the nearest tea room?

        Q: When I close my eyes I see seven foxes with thick Russian accents dancing in the style of Michael Flatley. What do you see?
        A: A bowl of rice.

      • Make a cup of coffee or tea, put on my lava lamp, lie on my bed and listen to a Pink Floyd album. Usually 'Meddle' or 'Animals'.

      • My cello teacher.


        As well as being a fantastic teacher and brilliant musician he's also a great friend. He will more than happily sit and listen to me ranting and raving about my problems and offer me kind and helpful advice. He's also hilariously funny and always knows how to cheer me up. I think if I didn't know him I would've gone completely mad by now.
