My grandmother collects paintings and sculptures. Although at times I am unaware of the painter or sculptor's name, I can see how they perceive themselves through their art. The paintings hanging in the kitchen of my grandmother's house tell stories, and are detailed to a perfection. Some sculptures are detailed to perfection as well, and are spread out through the house. My grandmother, as well as my family, attended an art exhibit in New York where replicas of famous paintings were being viewed. Even though they were not the original copies, you can see the time and effort they put into their work.
