- In response to: "What do you do on the side?" Go to work, lol. I think if I did this stuff on the side and my world revolved around the idea of going to work I'd be crazy. So, I work on the side and play full-time :)

Story of My Life....
"We thought you'd be prettier" by Laurie Notaro. This book is a current read and it has no depth to it whatsoever. It is pee your pants, laugh out loud funny. This book has made me realize that the every day crisis are all in how you look at it. I have learned to appreciate the funny side of the things that use to drive me nuts.
If you are a women, you have to give this book a read. You will think the author has been stalking you and recording all you most embarrassing moments - it is outrageously funny!

- I Love You but I'm Not in Love with You

c'mon say it....you love me - I know you do!
OK, I have been "in" love once, I had found "deep, soul mate, dirty laundry, mortgage, grow old together love"
I also had "young infatuation pretending to be love" once too, but in hindsight...it couldn't have been true love because if it was it would have evolved into "deep, soul mate, dirty laundry, mortgage, grow old together love" - which it didn't. It broke my heart and taught me what I needed to know to see to recognize true love....so it was sort-of love, if that is a real term.
I love myself, if that counts and I love lots of people in lots of different ways but to be "in love" with another person- it only took once :)

A text from the bathroom....really?
Oh, technology. My family is lost without it, no longer does one of us yell from the bathroom that we need toilet paper, now we can discreetly send a text...oh yeah - so not kidding. I think technology has its ups and downs. Do I miss being screamed at that I need to promptly bring toilet paper to the upstairs bathroom - short answer...no. Does it bother me that my children can sit in their bedroom and "interact" with their friends without getting dressed - yeah maybe a little bit.
Technology, like everything else should be used in moderation and has to monitored. I still make my boys send handwritten thank- you notes because I personally think it is important to be able to express yourself without the assistance of a spell checker, not to mention, there is just pure manners that go along with that - hey, postal workers need something to do too :).
I have my degree in Information Technology so I will always be looking toward the newest and best ways of doing things, but I don't look to get away from a handwritten letter or a phone call when necessary. I will not take the cell phones because I like the convenience of being able to track my kids at all times but I will be limiting the texts from the bathroom :)
