I will read almost anywhere.
But writing... I love writing. My favorite writing spot is more of a set of conditions rather than a specific place. Writing by the ocean is very rewarding, listening to the sound of the waves crashing on the rocks as thoughts get cast to paper. And by the ocean, it is the traditional way of writing - a pencil scratches its way across the page leaving a trail that, by the magic of human invention, is capable of communicating a thought, idea or message to another.
My other favorite place to write is using a computer, in a darkened room, either very late at night or very early in the morning, keys clicking away in the darkness and silence.

AT&T - Agressive, Tenacious & Tiresome
AT&T!!!
We have AT&T phone service, and we get at least one call a day (often two or three) from an overzealous AT&T telemarketer trying to up-sell us into a U-Verse package. Seriously, what part of NO don't they understand?!?

Not so much amusing... My phone number is the same as one of the local crisis houses, except with 2 digits swapped. Every so often I'll get a call from someone looking for the crisis house. More sad than amusing, really.
Another wrong number I get occasionally is from staff at the local hospital, usually trying to set up guided tours. Don't know how that comes to be.
The final one (and most frequent one) is people looking for a particular Holiday Inn. When people in my area code looking for that Holiday Inn forget to dial the "1" for long distance, the call winds up at my house. I had one poor old lady call me 4 times over the course of about 10 minutes one day.

My personality is a blend of my mother's and my father's. The analytical part of me comes from my Dad, along with patience, compassion and commitment. I try to be as much like my dad as I can, because from my mother comes a general fear of the world, and more specifically, people and social situations. It runs strong in the women of her side of the family. I'm not sure if that's a cultural thing or not, but my mum is just like her mum and my sister is just like them too. It makes for interesting conversation in my head when the fearful part starts arguing with the analytical part...
