here's the place where i live, it's the old fisherman's town
where sicilians and italianos came to settle on down
opened up what we thought was a legitimate biz
turns out, just a cover for some shadier things
and in turn all their kids grew up with the finest of things
biggest trucks, nicest clothes, their daughters covered in bling
so they walk around this city like they're part of the mob
when in all cases they end up in construction site jobs
follow daddy in careers so why pay attention in class?
the family will take care of ya as long as you last
instead of school let's hit up the underground or via
look at all the good for nothin's who are tryin to be us
saddest part is they actually believe it
let's get faded so much we can't see straight anymore
then drive the chevy home and pass out on the floor
wake up with a different girl than from the night before
hope my best bud doesnt get mad i hooked up with his whore.
and im sick of the way that they carry themselves
like they have more to offer cuz they think they're top shelf
stuck in this town but it hadnt been choiced
cuz the last of his girlfriends stuck him with a set of twin boys
look down on us cuz we dont follow the crowd
