- Defining the Word Friend
-
A true friend is a person that will always be there for you no matter what happens. They will always want the best for you even though it may be humiliating, stupid, or hard to do. A friend will be with you through thick and thin. Through the good times and through the bad. Throughout high school I got to know many people I call friends. However only a few have shown their true colors and proven to me that they are my true friends. They've put themselves ahead of their own interests. It is always a good time hanging out with them. You can always count on these kinds of people. I am so thankful for the friends that have stuck by me the past year. I've always had a problem realizing who my true friends are. However, the past year has shown me that I don't need friends who don' care about me.
Love ya guys,
Tony.

Ho Brah speaking in Pidgeon is killahz!
Haha my favorite slang words? I think in Hawaii slang is its own language. Pidgeon. I grew up speaking it. With friends with the locals its like another language for me. I live on the Westside of Oahu where proper english isn't common. It isn't because people aren't educated. It's because people over the years have developed Pidgeon as a language in Hawaii. Its spoken by everyone. Anyone who grew up in Hawaii knows a bit of Pidgeon more or less depending on where you grew up. It's not uncommon to meet successful business folk on Oahu who know Pidgeon. You can tell by the way they speak. I notice I tend to do this a lot. When I'm speaking with certain friends or teachers I speak very proper english. However, sometimes when I speak with friends I grew up with in my hometown I catch myself speaking Pidgeon to them. It has become a second nature. We all know proper english, but we speak pidgeon because well, we grew up with it. So don't be surprised if you hear me talking on the phone in broken english. I am educated, I write a lot, speaking slang in Hawaii does not mean you uneducated.
Well the prompt says what are my favorite slang words or phrases:
Eh cuz where you stey? (Hey man where are you?)
We go cruise brah (Lets hang out)
Chee-hee (YES!)
I no moa dollah (I don't have any dollars left)
Eh I like sample? (Can I taste?)

- Stress? What's that?
-
Yeah you could say that I'm stressed. Senior year brings a lot of it. Choosing the right college. Choosing the best living situation. The issue of money is also a big thing. Schoolwork. Meh Its the same every semester. It's not like the teachers give you anything you can't do. I take things as a challenge. I don't worry about completing it because I will complete it. My main worry is usually how it looks after I'm done. Stress brings strife, and I find myself being very down lately. Bad news is bad news. But when will the bad news end? Im beginngin to worry I won't get into the college I want. Not that I'm not smart enough, but things are just more challenging when your in my shoes. I wish I would get an acceptance letter back, maybe two. I struggle every day to keep focused, motivated, and on task. I sometimes find myself asking why I even try anymore. Im glad I found my focus again. Christmas break was refreshing and it brought me back to where I needed to be. The goal I set for myself when I first found out about my situation. VALEDICTORIAN. I've given up many things to achieve this goal. I must prove myself by attaining this status, God has blessed me with a couple close calls last semester. Hopefully I can steer clear of the borderline. Oh how wonderful it will be to be on that podium speaking to my fellow graduates one last time. Sharing with them what I have learned this past year. I gave up senior night, basketball to successfully achieve that goal. I can't say that I'm to stressed. The better term would be focused. Focused on doing good on every assignment, homework, quiz, and test. Stress can't take me off my game at this point. It will only lead to failure.
