- Everyone knows Custer died at Little Bighorn. What this movie recommendation presupposes is... maybe he didn't.

On mornings when I'm hungover, evenings I'm too lazy to go out on, or nights when I can't sleep there is one man I can count on to make everything better. That man is the one and only Wes Anderson. Any of his movies are worth seeing over and over again, but one of them in particular I seem to come back to like an abusive ex-boyfriend...
The Royal Tenenbaums may be the greatest movies ever. It has everything from dogfights to missing fingers. This movie is great no matter what mood I'm in; I can always count on it for a good time.
If you haven't seen this movie do it! After you have new sprinklers and a back-up security system installed.

- Summer Sounds: Secrets, Bears, and the GrooGrux King (Oh My)!

I think this may be my most adventurous summer to date. With concerts, internships, and trips I have not had time to catch my breath. I have enjoyed some great music along the way. While it is hard to narrow it down, my favorite tracks of summer '09 include:
As some of you may know I spent the first part of my summer in Washington DC. While there I enjoyed new friends, experiences, and adventures. One of these adventures was to a Jenny Owen Youngs concert. Not only was her set amazing, but she could not have been a more fun person to meet.
While riding home on the metro 'Secrets' was a track that seemed to get a lot of play time.Absinthe Party at the Fly Honey Warehouse by Minus the Bear
After Washington I enjoyed a family trip to France. This song seems to capture my feelings and emotions out here. You could say that I crossed the sea to get some culture; and have red wine with every meal.
I particularly like the instrumental introduction to the song. It has inspired me to bring some new life into my radio show when I return to Las Cruces.Nothing captures the sound of the summer like the Dave Matthews Band.
My summer began with a fantastic concert in New Mexico with one of my best friends. Along with classic DMB tunes like 'Ants Marching' and '#41,' we were treated to the premier of 'Seven,' a new song of their brand new studio album Big Whiskey and The GrooGrux King.
'Seven' has gotten lots of play time along with the rest of the fantastic album.
