To fry them up over-easy, slap them on a piece of toast with some cheese and lay some hot sauce over it, especially good has hangover food.

Concourse of Milsons Point Station
No matter what you put into them, decorations, conveniences, etc... To me, an airport will always be a congested, noisy, places with over-priced food and drinks. If I find myself in an airport, usually it's to pick someone up. If I am traveling, I usually prefer to move as quick as I can from the gate I've arrived at to the gate i'm going to, or as quickly as possible to the baggage claim.
Besides that, most airports, or the larger ones that could have "cool stuff" in them, are so massive that you spend most of your time in them crossing the concourse to your next gate via a lot of running and standing packed into monorails.
