    • When I started using the Internet

      • I worked at the Supreme Court, and a paranoid law firm, in the early 90s, and neither permitted web access. In 1995 I began leading the Senate's Microsoft investigation. After Marc Andreesen gave me a tutorial on how the browser worked, I began using the Internet regularly.

    • Why I gave up on

      • I read about 25 pages and thought it was a bunch of obvious and self evident truisms. Not worth investing my most treasured asset -- time. Plus, I met Gladwell once and kinda thought he was a self important jerk.

    • How I'd spend $1,000

      • I'd go to REI and load up on a bunch of North Face and Mountain Hardwear stuff. Jackets, ski gear, etc.
