City Hall and Park, N.Y. (LOC)
Hyderabad.
I was born and brought up in Delhi. Having lived the most of my life there, I have my share of attachment with the place. But when it comes to people, it certainly is one of the more violent cities with people abusing each other over little things. Cases of people getting stabbed and shot over issues as trivial as not giving way in traffic are frequent.
Next in line is Bangalore, where I have spent more than a year now; certainly seems better. Though it has its own share of issues but certainly a good place to be in at this stage of my life.
But as long as it is about people and their nature, my personal favourite is Hyderabad, where I was only for a couple of months for my summer internship. Though not much of a party place unlike Bangalore, it still felt nice to be there. Being all alone in a new place, it was the first experience of its kind. Within those two months, never did I see a person shouting at another on the roads or otherwise. Right from the airport to my guest-house, followed by the friends I made there, to my colleagues, there was a feel-good factor in that place and the people living there that made me want to stay even as my internship ended.

Coffee!
A strong milk-based coffee is what I need to stimulate my senses, esp my thoughts. It wakes my mind up. There is nothing better than having a cup of hot coffee right next to you in a chilly evening, whether I'm studying, relaxing, watching a movie or reading a novel.

- My favorite room

My favourite room would be one like Room #10 in 'The Lost Room', with some customizations, of course. I don't want a hotel room, instead a room which is well ventilated, high, large windows to be able to look outside, to feel the breeze and calm at night. A room where I have a working internet connection, with music playing. Reading a novel while sitting by the window, and sipping coffee would define an ideal evening in such a room.

Well, there are a number of things in my wish-list. At the top of which is a DSLR (haven't decided which model or budget), preferably Canon. Photography has always been of interest to me, right from my childhood. Though I lost my enthusiasm once the point-and-shoot era began, where it was too easy to take a photograph without worrying about the results, as one could always take multiple shots or photoshop which wasn't possible earlier when reels were used. There was a charm associated with the those reel-based cameras where one had to look through the view-finder to take a shot, had to be cautious about usage in terms of the number of shots taken and quality of every shot as it wasn't possible to verify and re-take at that moment. A few years later,I got hold of a Canon EOS 500D, and I felt as though the dormant photographer in me woke up. Even when taken in 'Automatic' mode, the difference in quality is so evident, with additional advantages like no-delay which means you can capture the moment as you see it, or even better at times. Nature photography, particularly scenic beauty is what inspires me to capture it forever.
