      • In response to: "If you were in a movie right now, what music would be playing?" Anything by Hans Zimmer. I don't even care what it is, but as long as it's by Hans Zimmer, I'll be happy. He's amazing and all of his music is really awesome.

Perfect weather for me is a clear sunny day in autumn, when there's just enough of a chill in the air to make you want a sweater, but it's still warm enough to where you can wear a t-shirt and jeans or a light long-sleeve t-shirt. The trees also have the reds, golds and yellows everywhere, there are plenty of fallen crunchy leaves on the ground for me to step on and there's a crisp smell in the air, like apples...but not. It's a distinct smell you only notice in the autumn and seems much more prominent on Halloween night for some reason. Ever stepped outside and said, "It smells like Halloween?" My brother and I do it all the time. When I get that smell, it makes my day.
Where I live, I get maybe one or two days of perfect weather each year. It sucks. I need to move to like, Boston or something.

    • Best Musical Performance and Best Musical Performance
      • Hard to believe there could be a difference between the two.

        The Lion King

The best live musical performance I've ever attended was 'The Lion King' when it traveled to a venue near my home. It was amazing. The colors and props and costumes were beautiful and imaginative. The songs were epic. The "Shadowland" music had always been my favorite song before it had words to accompany it. After I heard the song they wrote to go with the music for the show, I immediately loved it. It's a really beautiful song.
Rock music-wise, though, the best live musical performances I've been to have been the shows where Styx played. They were never the main act, but they blew the other acts away, for sure. They're so involved with the audience and interactive, which is exactly what the audience wants. Also, their songs are fun. "Mr. Roboto" is a classic. Then there are the legit songs like "Renegade" or "Miss America" or, OF COURSE, "Come Sail Away." WIN.

    • Not All of My Historic Events Are Disasters...But 2 out of 3 Are
      • Space Shuttle Challenger Memorial

Well, I came into the world on a disaster day, which one kind of figures foreshadows doom and gloom throughout that person's life...hopefully I've been lucky and that junk stays away. My mom got to watch the space shuttle Challenger exploding all day on TV. Needless to say my first day on earth wasn't as happy as it should have been...but after watching the documentaries, they really shouldn't have launched that day in the first place, so that's on NASA. Sorry, guys.
Obviously, everyone that can write on here had 9/11. I was in Spanish class and walked out the door at the end of class, which was about 8:55am, and heard people talking about it. I got to my homeroom class, which was World History coincidentally, and our teacher forewent our normal class and had us watch what was going down on TV and talking about how in a couple years, all of our textbooks would be changing.
Then there's my favorite. First black president. You have no idea how damn excited I was when I saw that Obama won. I don't understand how people can hate him so much (*cough*FoxNews*cough*). Sure, you may not agree with him, that's obviously going to happen, but Obama is legit human being. He's a nice guy, he's honest (whether you believe him or not, he is the most honest we've had) and he's intelligent, which is a nice change from our last president. Bush was a total idiot. He couldn't speak English correctly, he was on vacation more than every other president in history and then there's Iraq. How can you stand on an aircraft carrier with a big ol' banner behind you that says, "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED" when shit hasn't been accomplished yet?
I have a friend who's a super-Republican and he tried to argue that Bush wasn't on vacation that often and when Obama goes to other countries, that counts as being on vacation. Um, no, you moron, it's called INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS. We need that. Every country needs that. It's how you get by in the world. STOP BEING STUPID.
Anyway, Obama is a legit human being and I'm so friggin' happy he won over that old man and Sarah Palin. Could you imagine Sarah Palin as president? Oh god, I quit America if that ever happens.

    • My TV Show Would Showcase Pains in the Asses
      • My television show would probably be a look at consumer relations and how entitled to everything people feel. Also how rude some people are. It's kind of ridiculous. People seem to feel they deserve something just because they are at your place of work, even if it's against their best interests to have or do whatever it is. I used to hate dealing with people because I was shy and didn't like confrontation, but now I realize people are just super-whiney and don't care about your legitimate reasons for certain rules, they'd rather just complain at you and expect to get their way and when they don't, they say your place of work sucks. I think if people actually watched themselves on TV, they'd notice how dickish they act and would calm the hell down. Then again, some would act worse just to get on TV, and those ones I'd call out in a damn heartbeat and NEVER put on TV just to REALLY piss them off.
