Growing up I was a competitive gymnast and since I was 3 years old, I have idolized Shannon Miller. She is known in the gymnastics world as the "beam queen!" Growing up I wanted to be just like her and work exceedingly hard on the balance beam. She was a strong athlete, a good person and a wonderful role model to look up too!

I wish girls today had more strong women role models like Shannon Miller to idolize while they are kids.

Sorcerer or New Power

Although for many years I pushed away the idea of liking the "Harry Potter phenomenon," my best friend finally pushed me to cave in and read just the first book and after that I was completely hooked! I think it would be exhilirating to be able to spend a day with Harry Potter and his magical world. I would love to pick his brain about how he obtains so much hope and passion in his dark world. I would love to ask him how he motivates himself to be a good person, true to his friends and true to himself. I think he could teach the world a few things and maybe inspire us to be more hopefull despite so many set backs...
