i adore this quote. if a quote and a person could be married, this would be my husband. we would have adorable hybrid babies, too.

think about it. being a person is hard. life is not always a cakewalk. there are are decisions that must be made every day. some of these decisions are insignificant--what to wear to work, what radio station to listen to in the car, what to have for dinner--but there are those decisions that have a far greater impact.

what do i want to do with my life?

what kind of person do i want to be?

how do become worthy or respect?

each of us make decisions every day, every hour, we are here. the way that we decide depends greatly on our own balance of wisdom and stupidity.

it's stupidity that makes us choose the wrong path; it's wisdom that allows us to grow from that bad decision. we exist in a constant state of flux--making decisions, good or bad, and learning from them.

this is true of the smallest individual and the largest country.

the key is remembering this careful balance and learning to negotiate it appropriately.

that's what this quote says to me.
