- What I hate most about being a grown-up
-
You know what? Being a grown-up is boring. I want to go back to carefree summers and popsicles. Remember how much fun that was?
Seriously though, why does being an adult have to suck so much? If you get a speeding ticket you actually have to pay it, and if you get too many you might actually go to jail. And then there's working. What's up with that? Personally I'd rather sleep all day and drink all night.
What sucks most about being a grown-up has to be the bills. I mean, Christ. Rent, water, AND electricity? Such a pain in the butt to keep up with, much less actually pay it. "Oh, hey, look at all the money I ha— oh. I'm actually broke." Bills suck and should die.
But I guess there are some redeeming qualities about being an adult. Like, I get to go shopping. And I can drive myself anywhere I want to. And if I want to get a new CD? Totally don't have to save up my allowance for it. And you know what? Nobody can tell me not to buy two pairs of shoes in one afternoon.
Maybe that's just life — awesome when it's awesome, sucky when it's not. I'd say all in all I'm pretty happy with where I am, which is a lot more than some can say.

Airport Taxi Reception by Sondre Lerche
When I went on a road trip, this came on as the sun was setting over the Arizona desert. It was just the perfect song at the perfect time in the perfect place. Plus, Swedes are awesome.

I had a sip of a g&t at a party when I was like, way too young to be drinking, and the taste has stuck with me ever since. A couple months before I turned 21, I made someone buy me a bottle, and fell. in. love. I'm making it sound like I'm an alcoholic, so let me clarify: I drink responsibly. Never more than two at a time, and definitely not every day. Once you've barfed on a sidewalk in Orange County (hey, it was my birthday), you realize you kind of don't want to end up 80 years old and drinking alone. But, gimme a drink and a Parliament and I'm the happiest kid ever.

- Three bad songs that are still awesome to listen to

I freaking loved this song when I was growing up. Every so often it'd pop into my head, but I could never think of who sang it. Then the other day at work some dude played it and I was made whole again.
Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) by Beyonce
Ok, it's totally a crap song, but I love crap songs. And have you seen the video? Seriously awesome.
'Hot N Cold' is way better than 'I Kissed a Girl', but only marginally. But that's okay, because it's fun. And if you haven't noticed a trend, I chuffing love fun, crappy music.
