- What My Home Says About Me
-
My home says "comfortable". It's small and cozy with minimal clutter. The few things that decorate it all have a lot of value to me, like pictures from traveling or items that were made by me or someone else in our family. There are two kitties almost always cuddled up on a chair or the couch. There are shelves with a small number of our favorite DVDs and books. We don't have too much stuff in it, so it can be cleaned quickly and easily.

- A Letter to Someone from High School

To My Favorite English Teacher,
You were one of the best teachers I've ever had. Thank you for giving me a good foundation in learning to write well. It was beneficial throughout college and graduate school, especially when the time came to write my thesis.
Thank you for recommending other books besides the ones we were required to read. I've read many of them and they have been wonderful. I understand why they may not have been ideal for high school, but they were good recommendations and I may not have read them otherwise.
Finally, thank you for the interesting lectures, including things that didn't at first appear to relate to what we were reading at the time, and for encouraging us to discuss ideas in addition to just books.
I am a teacher now too, at a state university (and I don't teach English), and I am regularly grateful for your high expectations in teaching me to think and to write. I hope that I am as good of a teacher as I always thought that you were.
One of your former students.

- Heart Versus Head

I try to follow both. It just depends on the situation. Sometimes, I need to do what I know is right regardless of what my heart tells me. Other times, I jsut jump into things and follow my heart even though it may not make sense.

- My Epic Road Trip

I would love to drive across the United States and see as many states as I can. I haven't been to many of the states in the middle of the US and this would be a fun and relaxing way to see many of them.
