This is a book you will not want to put down, the author has a way of holding your attention until you finish.
The story took place in Charleston, S.C. during the Revolutionary War. Anyone that likes history and a love story combined would find this book very enjoyable. The story basically takes place in downtown Charleston, mentioning many places that locals and frequent visitors would be familiar with. It is about a young seamstress who falls in love and captures the events of the Revolutionary War in S.C. It is one of my favorite books and the story just flows holding your attention all the way to the end.

Yes, I consider myself to be a hero. I helped and encouraged a homeless man to overcome these obstacles he had encountered in his life. He was also walking the streets at the time and was very sick, probably with pneumonia. But with encouragement and no place to lay his head down during the day, he rallied back and found a new job. At night, he slept at the Salvation Army. He is now living in a townhouse, has a good job and met the Love of his Life and plans to get married in 2010.
Really, I should say he is my hero because he proved to me that anything can be accomplished if you set your mind to it. He had the will and determination to overcome the hardship he had experienced. He taught me a valuable lesson.....it can be done. He is my "Hero" and I will never forget him, even though we have never met face to face.
