My first part-time job as an adolescent was at a retail store named White Rose Home & Garden Centre. I was initially hired a carry-out to assist in the carrying of merchandise to customers vehicles, but was quickly trained as a cashier once it was determined that I can do precious little in terms of physical labor.

My employment with White Rose was short lived, as about 5 months after I was hired, the company went bankrupt and the store was forced to close its doors. I did, however, learn a great deal in my short time their and am very grateful that my first job experience was with such a wonderful place.
