- Me, as a Teen
-
13 to 14 - Natural blonde hair with a center part and bushy unmanaged eyebrows. I hadn't yet learned how to use makeup. My wardrobe consisted mostly of jeans and roxy hoodies, ill fitting thrift store clothes, and a few hand-me-downs from my sister.
15 - I attempted to dye my hair red, but it ended up bright orange; parted on the side. I started wearing my glasses full time, along with mascara and too much black eyeliner. My favourite outfit was thigh high striped black and white stockings, fishnet tights, combat boots, and a black skirt and t shirt.
16 - Bleached my hair back to blonde and cut it boyishly short, and began to incorporate color back into my wardrobe. ALWAYS had a black wristband on my left arm. I retired the black eyeliner toward the end, thank god.
17 to 18 - My hair was back and forth between a more natural blonde and brunette, shoulder length with side swept bangs. A pretty normal wardrobe, lots of jeans and t shirts.
19 - Started with a new haircut, extremely short and spikey in the back and almost to my shoulders in the front. Not Kate Gosselin style though, it was much better looking I swear. I finally got the braces I've been waiting for since I was 12. Looking into my closet, there is a disproportionate amount of skirts, dresses, and inappropriately high heels that I never wear. My hair is grown out past my shoulders, finally my natural blonde color. I can look entirely different any given day, anywhere from overly done up and girly to completely grungy, not even bothering to wear makeup.

- If you pay me enough, I'll sing these songs at a karaoke bar
-
Probably the 3 most common, most dreaded karaoke songs. It's inevitable that one day I WILL get drunk enough to do this, it's just a matter of when and where.

- Nice to meet you
-
For reasons I can't explain, one of the first things I wonder about a person when I meet them is whether or not their second toe is longer than their first. I definitely don't have a foot fetish or anything but it's ALWAYS something I wonder about people at some point.
Mine, for the record, are smaller.

- Enchanted forest: a natural beauty
-
I don't know if it's THE most beautiful thing I've ever seen in nature, but the first thing that comes to mind is is a memory from a few years ago.
My parents were looking for a vacation property in British Columbia, and I was still living with them so I tagged along while they viewed houses. When we got to this one it looked like crap. A trailer on an empty, unfinished lot in the middle of nowhere.
I was bored and tired of looking at houses, so I decided to wander around the property for a bit. I can barely remember what most of the place looked like, until I walked down the side of the huge dirt hill the house sat on. The lot, being in the middle of nowhere, was surrounded by forest on all sides and when I looked down I spotted a small overgrown path leading into it.
Having grown up playing in the bushes in BC for most of my childhood, the first thing I noticed was that there were absolutely no bugs in sight. I can't remember any other time I've walked into a forest without slapping and swatting bugs every step of the way. The second thing was that it was dead quiet, except for the babbling of a stream at the end of the winding path, only about 30 feet in. The path split in two directions at the stream, and there was a low shelf on the other side. The sun was streaming through the trees, I sat on a rock and dipped my toes in the water. I almost literally expected fairies to come out and start dancing around me, it was so serene. It won me over instantly. I fell in love and prayed that they would pick this one.
About two minutes later, I heard people frantically calling my name. I went up to find my parents, they didn't like the house, and I never saw that place again.
