      • When people we care about are hurting of course we want to do everything we can to help comfort them, but sometimes the normal sugar coating things, telling them what they want to hear doesn't help, doesn't make it better. Sometimes you've just got to be honest, face the reality, because what happens in 2 months when they are still hurting and they look at you and say "You said I would get over this?" then what do you say? I say start with honesty.


        It sucks.... for now, But it WILL get better!
        It's honest. I have been though a bad break up or two and I don't want to hear, it's going to be okay, he didn't deserve you, there's more fish in the sea, blah, blah, blah! None of that helps, why, because all you want is to run to the person who is making you hurt and have them hold you and tell you it's going to be okay. But you can't, so it sucks, for now but it will get better. Maybe not tomorrow, or next week, but it will; eventually. You have to let people feel what the need to feel, whatever that is; give them the space to deal with it in the way that works best for them. Be there, be honest (not brutal or cold), be supportive, understanding, and love them. That's what works for me!

        I was recently out of a relationship and a friend had invited me over for a party at her house, she was trying to cheer me up! She forgot to mention that she was also trying to set me up! I arrived late to the guy she was trying to set me up with was already a few too many sheets to the wind.....and that was the line I got!

        Needless to say....we did not go out!


        You know what would look good on you....ME!
        I was at a little dive bar with my sister grabbing a beer, we were talking, not paying attention to anyone but ourselves really. Then out of nowhere an older gentleman walked up, leaned forward and whispered, well drunk whispered, 'you know what would look good on you?' And because I was just so taken aback by his abrasiveness, I said "what? what are you talking about?" and sure enough....he said it! "ME!" and then he walked away!

    • On the road again!

      • My random thoughts
        I have a constant stream of randomness running through my head 24/7 and mach 10 speeds....while on road trips you would quickly learn this fact. Normally I keep my randomness to myself, but in the car on the open road I get the urge to share whatever runs through my head.


        Must have windows down and radio up. LOUD!
        When I am not sharing my most random thoughts with those in the car...I truly enjoy the windows down and the radio up so loud as to drowned out all thoughts!

      • I just found out I got a $.25 raise and I am still making $6/hr under what I should be!!!!! I can use all the money I can get
