The nearly November wind made the house shake. Rain came crashing sideways on windows, and the combined noises of the storm had quite the negative effect on Catherine that morning. She didn't have to get up for another 30 minutes, and she was determined to keep pressing snooze despite her futile efforts to sleep. Forty minutes later and crabbier than ever, she rolled out of bed and hopped in the shower.
The rest of the day turned out fine actually, and Catherine, obviously not a morning person, enjoyed her nearly November night.
