I only feel affinity for the species because I'm allergic to cats. It doesn't stop me from loving them though. My friend Andrea has this kitty named Anya, and if I could nab her and bring her home, I would. Unfortunately, I would have swollen shut eyeballs and just be generally itchy.

My bitch-ass step mom was my arch enemy when I was 10. I don't know why my dad married her. He didn't even ever really like her. She tried to make me into a "young lady" because I never wore dresses. She gave me hell for having too many white friends. She was a bitch and I hated her. That's why she got squato in the divorce.

Well...let's see. My parents divorced when I was 10. My mom remarried almost immediately, my dad waited a few years. My step-dad was an alcoholic a-hole, my step-mom a complete bitch. Mom and Step-dad, still together. He's done a lot of growing and changing. My dad and step-mom divorced after 7. It took me 8 years to finish my bachelor's degree, as a result, I'm way in debt. Dad passed away a year before I got married and 6 months before I graduated from college. I've been with my husband for 11 years, married for 3. Since we've basically grown up together, its a fantastic relationship. I got laid off almost a year ago and have only had 5 interviews, with only one of those being worth the gas money it took to get there. (I didn't get the job.)

My best friend/sister (not biological-she just means more to me than the rest of my 'siblings') lived across the street from me growing up. I met her when i was four. I wanted to be just like her when I was younger since she was 4 grades ahead of me in school. So, I liked music that was cooler than everyone else my age. Watched SNL at the ripe old age of 6. Also, I'm the only person my age who did not like New Kids on the Block, thanks to her. (I owe you one for that, K.)

My husband, friends and family have shaped me. I am where I am because of them.

If pot is legalized, I expect increases in tax revenue

I watched a documentary thing about a city near Oakland in CA that sells medical marijuana, but does not tax it. If tax revenues were collected, they city would have made 4.8 million dollars in additional tax revenues that year. That's not Chump Change.

Is what trampy or fun? I don't really get the question. Here are a list of things I think could go either way...

Small straw cowboy hats: Trampy. In my circle, we call them "skunt hats" because they are generally worn while out skunting.

Knee-high boots: With big platforms-trampy, with the appropriate heel height, fun.

Backless shirts: When worn with the right undergarments-fun. When wearing a pink backless shirt with a black bra, trampy.

Cleavage: When shown appropriately, with appropriate support-sexy. When the shirt cuts down to your naval and you don't have on a bra-slutty.

I don't have a good answer for this one. So I'll tell you a story about the worst shut-down I've ever gotten from a guy. This one goes all the way back to the 7th grade. I'll even name names.

All year long I was totally in love with this guy Barron Thompson. Eventually, I thought he liked me back. He held my hand and laughed at my jokes and always hugged me. That was a big deal in the 7th grade, okay? Well, toward the end of the year, I wanted to make it known that I liked him and wanted to try and see him over the summer. I dropped hint after hint, but no response. Finally I just got frustrated because I was running out of time. (School was going to be out in like a week...) So I just told him that I liked him and wanted to "go out." (I mean...why did we call it that? Where were we going?) Well, he said, "I can't. My parents would be so mad about me dating a black girl." Shocked, I said, "Well, I'm not all the way black. My mom is white." (Why I still wanted to date a dude from a racist ass family is beyond me.) He said, "It won't matter to them, you look black." So ended my torrid courtship with Barron. We didn't even really talk after the summer. Who cares, right? I did!

I have four small incision scars from my gall bladder surgery, but that is a boring story. So, in the interest of good story telling...here is a better one:

We drove from Columbus to Savannah when I was 9 for girl scout camp. When we got there, my mom parked the car and we got out right as our assistant scout leader was bringing us lunch. I was a quirky kid and did not want to sit on the ground like the rest of the girls, so I sat on the bumper of my mother's car. That had been running for almost 5 hours. I must have jumped about 16 feet in the air when my let hit the damn tailpipe. Scar is still on the back of my leg. Nice.

When Pink first hit the scene, I loved her. But then she went down this nutjob road that I just couldn't get down to. When this song came out, I thought it was more of the same. Because radio in Columbus sucks and they play the same 10 songs over and over again, (I was using my iPod for audiobooks at the time...) I heard it a million times and realized I liked it. I think its mostly because she says, "You're a tool..." in the song.

Because I think she sucks. I used to love this song, now I hear it and I think about how Nick Lachey (who I LOVE) put all of his time, love and effort into that high maintenance girl and she just lost it and left him.
