River Friend

I grew up in a little place called Tyrone, next to the Kentucky river. I always found the beauty of this area absolutely breathtaking, but under its beauty lied a dark secret. Behind closed doors I suffered abuse so devastating, that I longed almost every night to just go to sleep and Never wake up. These thoughts consumed my mind at the young age of eleven years old, a pain no child should endure. Yet alongside the darkness there was something that gave me a glimmer of hope, something that makes my heart swell at the memory. The Kentucky river, It was right behind my house and late at night after being physically and verbally abused for hours I would sneak on to the bank. There I would sit and stare at the water, the way it sparkled under the night sky filled me with a longing that at the time I could not understand. Looking at this sight, the hills painted in the sky, it made me realize that despite the hurt and terrible things I endured that there was always something beautiful about this world. The Kentucky river is what I love most about my hometown, its strange but it became my friend whenever I felt the world was against me. Even though I spent most of my childhood a tortured soul, it made it seem so much better.

GUS BUSTER

Not a person, ha ha! My hamster Gus...Ikr weird but i confide more in that little fur ball then any person. His cuteness is comforting and he never talks just listens. Plus he sees the goofy singing and breaking into random dance side of me that i would never be like in front of friends.
