- I am now a frequent flyer.

I was super excited for this family trip...it was probably 8-9 years ago now. Crazy stuff. But actually, this wasn't my first plane trip ever. While I was still living in Denver (pre-1994), we frequently flew home to extended family in the Sioux Falls area. But I don't remember those flights. Apparently I threw up a lot. Who knows. (it should be noted that I have never gotten sick on a plane after that)
My longest flight ever was from Minneapolis to London...and then Frankfurt --> Amsterdam --> Minneapolis. I love Europe, but I hated that flight.

- My handiness is non-existent

Um...I usually don't repair anything...except I do have some natural ability to troubleshoot computers. I don't really understand it because I have no expertise in the field, but people always come to me with their computer problems. It's bizarre.

- My trip from Sioux Falls, SD to Los Angeles, CA and the attempt to return home..

Unless you're taking one small vehicle (pretty much anything that isn't a bus), road trips aren't worth it.
Okay so this was my junior year in high school and I was on a mission trip with my church. And our mode of transportation was a paratransit mini-bus. Yeah, we drove that the entire way. On the way back, however, the bus broke down in the middle-of-nowhere Utah. So then, we had to take a taxi in groups of four 25 miles away to the Greyhound station...at 2AM...we boarded the next Greyhound charter and then had to make consequent stops in Cheyenne and Omaha...completely going out of our way. And sitting next to incredibly random people. The return trip took three days without actual sleep or showers. It was terrible.
On another note, before my senior year in high school, my marching band drove all the way from Sioux Falls, SD to New York City...32 hours straight. Also miserable.

- A day without a cell phone is refreshing...

I have gone multiple days without having my cell phone with me...not including when I was in Europe...and those days have been absolutely wonderful. Except when I check my phone at the end of the day, I find it depressing when I have no new texts nor missed calls...
