Cereal or crêpes are my all-purpose meals for those voids in between paychecks. You can buy a bulk bag of cereal for $2.50. If you splurge a little, you can get some pretty nutritious varieties. If milk is too expensive, you can just eat it dry like a defunct granola bar.

One batch of crêpe batter (made up of flour, milk, butter) makes 20+ crêpes, which can be combined with anything you can think of... eat with modified cereal for extra savings.

I still eat these all the time, who are we kidding

    • Doing absolutely nothing is soothing
      • Doing nothing, outside. Laying on the beach, laying in the grass, hiking to the top of somewhere and laying down. Taking in life slowly (and sometimes with someone I'm close to).

    • I spend slow days at work people-watching
      • At my work, there is a big wall-width one-way mirror facing the bay, mountains, and oblivious people. Sometimes people use it as a mirror -- I think we have pictures of various people doing that on a disposable camera somewhere.

      • I learned that those road trip games weren't meant to hold up for more than 6 hrs.

This was part of a bizarre "family vacation", in which my parents thought it would be fun to put all 5 of us in a van together and drive to Canada to visit friends. We took a longer, albeit scenic route through California to go to Universal Studios and the like, but other than that I think I slept most of the time, and tried to futily to take pictures of outside with my point and shoot camera (which at that time wasn't digital).
