      • hello Clara Harris
      • Username: claraharris
      • In response to: "Even if you aren't a chef, what's your favorite dish to prepare?" I love to bake bread & to surprise people with my mystical powers of baking cakes from scratch. For non-baked goods, I love improvising summer pasta sauces from the great stuff at the farmers' market.

    • My friend Sam French keeps me well-read
      • In the neverending quest to keep my audition monologues fresh and stay current with what's out there, I try to get a handful of newly published plays every month or so. I whittle away at this pile of plays as steadily as possible. It seems dreamy, actually, to have an afternoon or two or five to read and read and read.

    • I Practice My Barbara Walters' Interview for When I'm Famous
      • In no particular order, here are five things on my bucket list.

        Live in a foreign country
...and Canada doesn't count. A gypsy at heart, I relish the thought of completely immersing myself in another culture. My top choices for where to do this are, currently: Germany (beer), Greece (have you SEEN the coastline?!), France (think the movie Chocolat), Ireland (beer), or England ('cause I, ya know, speak the language). During our time as expats, we would travel to other countries, as well. First step: renew my passport!

Become proficeint in Ballroom, Tap, and Bellydance
I love to dance. It's fun. It's a great workout. And, come on, don't you think it is totally sexy when someone can dance. I mean, like, really dance?!

        Learn to play guitar
Because if teenage boys can do it to impress girls, certainly I can do it.

        Release an album
My first album will likely be titled: Jazz Hands, My Love Affair with the American Musical Theatre. This is one of those "why haven't I done this yet" things.

Sing the National Anthem at a sporting event
I mean, be the person who is holding the mic, not one of the ones singing in the crowd, silly, I do that already. "...o'er the la-and of the freeeeeeee, and the hoooooome of the braaaaaaaaaaaaaaave!"

    • I'll Have the Whole World in My Hands
      • On how I learned that I am both important and cool.

        Blackberries

Perhaps and iPhone, perhaps a Crackberry, regardless, this is one chickadee who CAN-NOT WAIT for her "new every two" to come back around in a few months. (As a loyal Verizon customer, I am eligible to get a nearly-free phone every two years.) Two years ago I thought I wasn't important enough for texting or any other "fancy" feature to my phone. Maybe a photo now and again, but mostly I just needed my phone to, well, call people.

Now I have decided that, not only am I important enough for a tricked-out phone, but I absolutely must have one - pronto! How many times have I needed to google an address I can't find, research one shoe company over another before purchasing, or just need to send an email during my break at work? Answer: lots and lots and LOTS of times. Ah, to have the internet at my fingertips - that would make me both cool and knowledgeable.

I've decided to purchase one, now I have to decide: iPhone or Crackberry. What's your poison?
