        Disney-MGM Studios

Back in 2005 myself and my wife and my daughter were at Disney World. To be precise MGM Studio's,now called Disney's Hollywood Studios, and it was a very nice hot and sunny day. It was approaching parade show time. We had to decide where to sit so as to get a good view. Once a place was decided we plonked ourselves down onto the kerb, pavement, sidewalk, which ever you want to call it, and waited patiently.
Whilst watching the parade and getting all wrapped up in the mood and fun and smiles, my wife had made a few comments and received a few in return to a nice colored lady, now standing to see the parade, the way people do when at the world of dreams. When the last float had passed and the tail end security pulled the ropes, and followed them into the distant garaging, we all started to leave. But during the brief conversation with this joyous lady, who now had more of her family with her. When she suddenly asked us, "Are you genuine English people, from England?" We held ourselves from laughing, seeing the funny side to this question, by realizing that this joyous lady was serious. So my wife answered "Yes, from Southampton"
Then quite unexpectedly this joyous lady shouted out loud to her other family members, "Hey guys come over and meet some genuine English people". Genuine was quite pronounced, and we as genuine English people suddenly became a little embarrassed.
We were then introduced to her and her family, a few nice pleasantries were spoken and all was quite friendly as it should be in Disney, we all passed a few farewell words with each and then went quietly on our way.
Well, we went quietly.. he he!

    • Writing a Book
      • My Novel in the Making.
        'Knight of the Oak'

I have thought about and even started writing one last November 2011. I have had an idea in my mind for a good few years and last year in October I saw a BBC morning show interviewing a lady who participated in past web based project called NANOWRIMO.
I checked it out and decided to give it a try. 50000 words in a month. At first thought it seemed almost impossible, but more research revealed that many people succeed in the task, mind many also failed, if one can call it failure.
Because as the month progressed I realized it was the partaking in this wonderful project, it was not all about doing the required 50000 words. As I looked into it I found small groups on Facebook and joined them, people all over the world and local groups meant communicating with many others participating and giving each other support and advice and help. This happened regularly because many of us had blank spells.
In fact I had a spot of blankness, having to write approximately 20000 words in 8 days, I had 3-4 days of no progress, and was thinking of giving up. But after reading and making a few comments on these pages I managed to get through to the magical 50000 words by the end time. In fact I managed to get to 52106 by closing time. I became a NANOWRIMO winner. The only downfall if it is so called is that my novel is not finished, but am still writing, admittedly a lot slower. But am slowly but surely reaching the end. Cannot wait for NANO 2012 I might finish it then, ha ha, hopefully start a new one. Book Two!

    • My Ideal Birthday Celebration - Disney
      • If you ever feel like having an adventure?????

        pirates

My Ideal Birthday was back in June 2008. I spent the day with a visit to Magic Kingdom, for my daughter, in the morning, followed by a visit to Epcot Center, this is my favorite park of all Disney. My family treated me to Fossil wallet, from the Fossil shop on the Boardwalk at Universal. Then in the evening, after we went back to our hotel the Renaissance, we then had an evenings entertainment spent at the 'Pirates Dinner Show' The show was excellent and the food was good, and the service was also good. The whole day was a nice sunny warm day and the 'I Ride' trolley was very busy but enjoyed it all the more. In fact the whole two weeks spent in Orlando was one big birthday bash.

    • Issues I Like to Debate
      • We the public debate, the government listen. The Government do exactly the opposite.... DEMOCRACY....

        Debating Chamber

I like debating, arguing or generally letting off steam on various topics, but the best is usually politics or politics in a simpler form.
We all think our governments are doing things wrong and we are all being treated badly, and I am, of course no different, or am I?
We'll start with the high price of petrol. and just recently it has been reported that oil has be reduced in price. But the pump prices stay the same, apart from where the odd individual retailer has lowered it by a few pence. Then our government tell us why they have not reduced the prices, and they expect us to believe this rubbish. Then they wonder why there are riots popping up randomly in cities around the country. I will not write my view on these riots etc, another topic for another day.
When the government is taking 60 per cent of the cost per liter, to me this a government teaching it's citizens to steal, be deceitful and just live a life of lies and underlying smoldering hatred.
The government keep cutting expenditure and soon this strong little island of ours will be open for any to invade. Cutting the Army forces and not employing more. All the Councils and related bodies having to get rid of staff, so in all the unemployment has risen largely due to the government, and then they are punish the unemployed.

It has already started, slowly and surely............BEWARE. who is your Next Door Neighbor ... Do you Know them??? Do you Really......
