- Optimist or Pessimist?
-
On life, totally optimistic, insofar as to know that I'm going to one day die. Meaning, for me, the glass is always half empty because, well you would never fill a glass half full of water then go "man, i want some more water," at least I don't... who does such things?!
Pessimistic, well if "the glass is half empty" means I'm a pessimist, then... sure? But really, that makes no sense, as just described. So I would probably have to say I'm pessimistic about things like... humanity and how our entire civilization is run on a toxic fuel-oil - which we know we are running out of and have not realized that within about 50 years there will be nothing to, A) power all this technology we have around us, and B) live for other than life. So all this petty shit about 'oh my god, my boss didn't give me a raise, I'll never afford that BMW,' will go away.
Maybe I am optimistic about our civilization... well, at least when we run out of power now one will know I ever wrote this... or that I ever went to University... or that I ever really existed...

If I'm late, it's because of this. If I'm early, it's because I didn't do this.

- When I realized I was a grown-up
-
To me, being 'grown up' is a term given to people who want to forget the 'good times' and pretend everything is serious. If you look into things with a little bit of thought, what really is the point of having a job? It's to pay for bills to support a system not of beliefs, but of values and exchanges which entangle our entire society. If I ever fall victim to this system and stop enjoying my life, that's when I'll consider myself 'grown up'.
As for taking things too seriously, I'm talking about when making that business sale becomes more important to you than your child's birthday. When you get bored of being married to the man/woman you love because you watch a few TV shows that tell you the single life is better. It's when you stop realizing you have one life to live to the fullest and start following what you're told instead of what you want.
So with this definition, I hope I never grow up :D

The sweat beat down, slowly. Succulently. Favoring not only the moment in time, but allowing for a pause in her breath. She stopped. Wide eyed, and opened her mouth slowly. The breaking of her soft yet moist lips glistened while he turned. His eyes vanished with a blink of eternity. When they opened the sparkle filled the room, the perturbing chin mixed with a 5 o'clock shadow filled her eyes.
The tension built while the two steeped closer, nearer, as though magnets attracted to one another. She paused, looked down, and felt a hand bring her chin back up to eye level with him. Inches from his body, the heat was felt like nearing that of a steamy shower. His lips opened and a soft word came through, "kiss me". She closed her eyes, leaned forward, and felt soft hands around her waist. They tightened, like feeling the freshness of a peach - her breasts made contact with his chest - firm, yet soothing.
Her hands made a connection with his hair, moving through it like it blades of wheat in a field. Soft. She grabbed and held on while he lowered her to the soft surface now behind her. His hands moved from her waist to under her shirt....

When you find that perfect melody or harmonized vocals it's like bliss. I'll often spend hours upon hours just listening to music for its pure beauty. Although, most people would not agree that what I listen to is 'beautiful'.
