Chef Érica - Sobremesa Ano Novo 2008
I passed my ServSafe certification exam with a 98%. Super proud of that. One step closer to having some type of career in the food industry. Only five more years before I have to take it again...

- It had less power than my current cell phone...
-
and you thought you had computer problems
...and that's really saying something since my cell phone is a crap prepaid Tracfone. I think it I was in 5th grade, and we were learning how to use all the Microsoft junk and we had to play those ridiculous math and word games. It was one of those clunkers that weighed more than the desk it sat on. So it was really only at school and it wasn't any fun. I started using the computer for fun probably around 8th grade or so, and of course that was when MySpace was bigger than Facebook so that's where I spent the majority of my virtual time. I remember me and my sister even fighting over who would get to use the computer first when we came home from school.
Man how things change. Facebook, this site, my college website, and email accounts are what I usually spend my time on now. And occasionally a paper or project or something that needs to be done for school. I guess I still spend more time on my computer than I need to, especially now that I have a laptop that obviously can go anywhere with me. Oh well. Computers are destined to replace people, it's just a matter of time...

- I wouldn't cook cats, that's for sure.
-
Well I know a lot about cats and their behavior and what their problems are when they're acting weird. I know how to cook a lot of different food and make tons of things from scratch as well. Plus they are both things I enjoy. Not in a bestiality sort of way though. Perv. But most reality shows are so dumb that I can't even stand them, news is better left to less emotional people than me, and talk shows are one of the worst effects of the invention of the television. So, probably something involving me cooking, Or something about cats, training them or the like. But I wouldn't combine the two into cooking cats, cause that's just wrong.

- Reunite? Why exactly would I do that?
-
Mmm no, I think not. I've found that, even though I've only been out of high school for about 2 years, most people I went with don't even know I graduated with them. I could probably list one hundred names from my class, when most of them couldn't even recognize me or know my name. Why is that you say? I have no idea. Since most people can't bother remembering me now, I don't know why I would ever want to see them again. Maybe I would go just to show them how awesome and successful I've become out of spite, but that's probably best just staying a daydream, since I'm sure I wouldn't be able to keep my temper under control when someone came up to ask me who in the world I was. High school is probably safe in the past where it belongs.

- Stargazing in Petoskey
-
The upper part of the lower peninsula of Michigan. I went camping near a place called Petoskey last year, and it was so clear at night, that you could literally see the Milky Way stretching from one side of the sky to the other. It was unbelievable. I live in the city and I've never seen so many stars before in my life. I sat and stared at our galaxy for hours, because it's so easy to get sucked into all the possibilities of it.
