    • A Dangerous Situation
      • The most dangerous situation I can think of happened many years ago. My friend had invited me to a party that her cousin was having. When we got there there was a lot of people, and many unrecognizable faces in the crowd. We checked out some bands that played and hung out around the house or backyard. We then decided to go smoke so we went to my friends car to hang out. After a while of us sitting in the car talking and smoking, we noticed a couple walked to the front yard (which we could directly see since we were parked in the driveway) and proceeded to heavily make out. We noticed that the girl kept trying to push him back and he was starting to become forceful. They obviously had no idea that we were in the car. We noticed that the situation was really close to becoming rape and there was no way we were gonna let that happen. Plus they had the whole gangster look and nobody really knew who they were. As things were getting more heated my friend decided to honk her horn to scare them off, which it did do. They ended up going back to the backyard. After a while, we felt better hanging out in the car. For some reason, that same couple came over to us and started talking to us. The guy mentioned that they didn't have a ride and if we could give them one. I don't know why my friend agreed, but she did. We ended up in some seedy part of town at a motel where the girls mother lived. When we got there, only she got out and the guy stayed inside. We totally freaked out. He was like, oh I need a ride to my friends house to pick up, it's not too far. He was a really sketchy tweeky guy and he totally gave us the creeps. All he did was talk about gangster stuff and we could definitely tell that he was on meth. For some reason my friend agreed to take him where he needed to go. He took us to an even seedier area. As we got there he started saying how this area was really bad and how a lot of shit happened here like drive-by's. Oh lovely! As we were pulling up to the house, we noticed he got really freaked out and scared. This made us even more scared. He asked if one of us would go in with him. Yea fucking right, I thought to myself. I could already see it in my head. That one of us ends up raped or killed for giving this creep a ride. We all disagreed and asked him to hurry. As he was going to get out of the car, this car drove up really slow. At this moment I nearly passed out. It was that scariest thing remembering that as we saw those headlights it was like time slowed down and we all just stared at the headlights and the car passing us by. We couldn't see who was inside, but it was really scary. I honestly thought we were going to get shot at right at that moment, because we weren't from the area. Luckily we survived the creepy car that passed us by and the guy got out of the car. We were soo freaked out that just as soon as the guy was out of sight, we decided to leave. There was no way we were going to sit there and wait to see what would happen. All we could think of is that this could be a trap and that before we knew it we might have some gangsters heading towards the car. And we didn't want to wait to have another car pass by and hope to not get shot at. We didn't want to leave, but we also didn't want to loose our lives, and we almost thought that we would that night. We left so fast that for a moment we thought we were being chased. Yea, that made the night awful. As soon as we made it to a big street, we felt relieved that we were away from there. The first thing we did after this is head to In N out to get some food. It was seriously the best In N Out, ever! All we could do is sit at the table at my friends house, eating out In N Out, and laughing and talking over what had happened during our night. I'm glad the night ended the way it did and not in a worst way.

    • Some Memorable Mass Transit Stories
      • Catching the train every day from Long Beach to Downtown Los Angeles for almost two years makes for many interesting stories. The most memorable one that I can remember is when we were entering Long Beach one afternoon coming home from work. I noticed on my opposite side people were all looking out the window and seemed very shocked. I then saw that what they were looking at was a homeless man walking down Long Beach Blvd, completely naked. May not have happened on the train, but we all saw it while on the train. Other stories include the time that a fight broke out on the 7th Street station, right on the platform, or I should say it went from the train and the tumbled to the platform. What was so shocking about this was that the fight was between a man and a woman. And they were literally fist fighting and tumbling on he ground. People tried stopping them, but as soon as they were stopped they would start fighting again. There were also some of the usual faces that I would see. One was of this androgynous girl or boy (not sure which) that always asked for money on the train. What made it particularly strange is that he/she would talk in a very childish voice, almost like a 5 year old, and would very often sing in the same voice to everyone. It was truly strange. One of the times he/she knelled at the corner of the train and prayed for money. It was like he/she was talking to someone and answering their questions. I'm positive that there are more stories, I just can't remember them all right now. Something told me that I should have written them out as they happened, as I had hoped to do but never did. In any case, riding on the train and seeing the people that ride it, has always been an interesting experience. All i could do with all of these instances is just try to look away and hope that things didn't get stranger. Oh yea, and hope for my stop to come as soon as possible!

    • On Blogging
      • I started up on blogging back when livejournal was the main blogging tool. I don't consider myself to be a great writer or anything, but since I enjoy photography, I keep a blog for my photography and some words here and there as well when I wish. I enjoy being able to share photos and words with others and to keep a blog on my life. Nothing fancy, just fun. Aside from my blog on blogspot, I also have a personal tumblr and a few other tumblr pages I created. See..
