I get in the house, head straight to my room and drop my backpack off on my bed--or if I really need to pee I head directly to the restroom and pee and then drop my stuff off in my room.

After that I go outside and stare at the dogs and then I bring in Hercules so I can play with him in the living room. We just sit on the carpet a lot and I scratch him or rub his tummy and take pictures of him and then I give him a couple of snacks before taking him out.

I like that time I spend with Hercules because I don't really have any cares at the moment besides just scratching him and making sure he's feeling happy.

Then I basically just do the following: homework, use my laptop, watch tv.

I can speak two languages fluently. El lenguaje que aprendi primero era espanol porque mis padres son Mexicanos. Then I learned how to speak English from my older cousins and of course from my kindergarten teacher, Mrs. White, as well as, the numerous teachers I have come across in my life. Tambien en mi escuela de primaria habia una specialista que ayudaba a los estudiantes hispanos hablar ingles y ella me ayudo mucho. This specialist became one of our close family friends and I still know her to this day. Something funny that I just want to randomly note is that she recently went back to college and it so happened that she was taking the same history course I was taking but at a different time. So anyways, I bumped into her one day and we got to chat a bit about school once again, except this time she wasn't helping me with my English but asking me about studying help for our Ancient Civilizations exam. It's funny how things work out, we can always end up helping those who helped us when we were younger.

I'm better at speaking fluently in English of course since my whole education has basically been in English. The Spanish I have learned has been due to talking with my family and experiencing Latin music and novelas--which is probably one of the best ways to learn how to speak a language because you're immersed in the culture. In addition, the 3 years I took of Spanish in high school helped me with my Spanish literacy.

It was pretty neat because I had the same Spanish teacher for those 3 years and pretty much the same classmates for all those years. This was because we all went from Spanish Speakers 1 to Spanish Speakers 2 and then ended with AP Spanish Literature and Mr. Guitierrez was the only one who taught those 3 courses. I guess I was a bit of a teacher's pet in that class. I still remember this one day when one of the kids in my class said, "If Diana doesn't have the assignment then that means the assignment doesn't exist." hahaha! He said this because our teacher would make us keep a list of all the assignments we did and then at the end of the grading period we would go over the list and turn the assignments into him in a certain order. So I guess that day Mr. Guitierrez was going over the list and had asked if we did an assignment and I didn't have it written down on my list so the classmate responded with the matter-of-fact statement that if I didn't have it then it didn't exist and therefore no one should be held accountable for that assignment. :p

Then last year I took a semester of Latin since it was one of the honors courses I could choose from. I am definitely not fluent in Latin and I can barely remember all the inflections and conjugations that I learned that semester. Oh my goodness, there were soooo many... my brain would hurt from trying to retain them all! However, I do know how to pronounce the words with the letter "V" the way the ancient Romans used to, so I find that special :p I guess I shall leave one of my favorite Latin phrases for those of you who would understand it: "Fallaces sunt rerum."

Next, there's the little tidbits of other languages I have been taught and can speak. They're definitely not impressive phrases but I think it's cool to know how to say certain things in other languages. I know how to say yes in Romanian (da), Portuguese (sim), German (ya), French (oui) ...haha. Also, there's the small phrases or words I can always use on people from other countries: "Guten tag" (German), "Ciao", (Italian), "czesc" (Polish), "lunettes", "bonne nuit" (French).

I've also learned quite a number of Portuguese words and phrases since I've always been fascinated by anything that relates to Brazil (in this case, being the language). So I always use: "Qual e o seu nome?" "Quantos anos voce tem?" "Obrigado" "sim/nao" "isso!"...etc etc. I hope to go to Brazil for this coming World Cup so I'm trying to learn as much Portuguese as I can (I'm also take a semester of Portuguese so I'm very excited about that).

Overall, I just think it's totally awesome to be able to speak or understand as many languages as you can.

That clicking sound of nails on the keyboard was the thing that really drew me into the whole dream of being a secretary.

Haha, so yeah...that was one of my childhood dream jobs.

Then later on when I was in the upper grades was when becoming a teacher or doing something as a children's psychologist interested me and now here I am studying to be an elementary school teacher :)

Hmmm...when I can't sleep at night, probably like now, I guess I go and try to read things or listen to music. A lot of times I like to just grab a long book and start reading that until I figure I'll get tired...but usually I just want to keep on reading. Actually, I usually grab a book when somethings on my mind and I'd rather have something else on my mind... or if I'm going on a long trip somewhere and will have a lot of time to catch up on reading. But when I can't sleep...I guess I just think or write or read until my eyes start wanting to close or until I realize I better start trying harder to get to bed or else tomorrow is gonna be a very tiring day.

A 7 layer Rainbow Cake...it took so long to make! Sam and I usually have our random baking days, so this time we had decided we were going to make a 7 layer rainbow cake because it looked so awesome in the recipe we saw. We decided to make some adjustments because we didn't feel like making complicated frosting and decided to go with what we knew how to make--which is cream cheese frosting (nom nom nom, i love this kind of frosting). So after making a ginormous mess and preparing everything we finally finished making a 7 layer rainbow cake. I was pretty proud of it even if it was leaning like no other, haha. Maybe one day I'll make it again...but maybe use a more sturdy type of frosting.

Anyhow, here's one recipe for it http://www.marthastewart.com/recipe/rainbow-cake

and the picture above this is of the cake Sam and I made :)

The sporting event which I get the most excited about is definitely the World Cup! I guess I enjoy it because I can watch every single game on my television since it occurs during the summer and there's nothing really keeping me from being able to watch every single match--and it definitely helps that I can record the matches that come on while I'm sleeping.

I get really excited seeing teams from different countries playing against each other. Also, this sporting event is one of those that gets watched by people all over the world so that's pretty dang cool. Not only that, but there are a ton of good-lookin' soccer players...just saying :)

In the World Cups I get to watch a lot of my favorite players...such as Cristiano Ronaldo for the Portuguese team :D In previous World Cups I was able to watch Ronaldo play, and he is freaking awesome...not only because he is Brazilian but because he is an amazing soccer player.

The other reason I enjoy this sporting event the most is because it's something my whole family and a lot of my friends get excited about. I can talk to them about it, can argue with them about teams, can get all emotional about a match, etc. Overall, it's a great sporting event and I hope to be able to go to the upcoming World Cup in Brazil.

I was thinking this was going to be a very difficult question because I tend to like movies a lot and have too many favorites...but then one movie popped up in my mind that stood above the rest--Toy Story 3!

It was such a great movie! It made me get teary eyed several times and brought back a ton of memories. The Toy Story films are all so wonderful and really relatable...especially since I grew up with them.

In the end when Andy gave away all his toys and played with them for the last time, I thought that scene was so sweet.
Guilty Pleasure

Guilty Pleasure always reminds me of Leanna and Samantha. It reminds me of Samantha because we fell in love with this song by Cobra Starship when we went to Warped Tour together. It was a really fun song that had hand movements to go along, so we would do them during lunch with our group of buddies. Then "theres a party in your bedroom" reminds me of Leanna because this is song we fell in love with at Warped Tour. SO fun, and we even got signatures from some of the band members from Cash Cash.
Then, anything by the beatles pretty much reminds me of Carolina because she Loves them, considering she has grown up listening to them because her mom is also a huge fan.

So many to choose from. I have had great teachers throughout my educational career. So I feel like I should describe a few of them, rather than just ONE.

Well, I'll start from earliest to latest teachers.

My Second Grade teacher was awesome because she always treated me kindly and would even write me and my family letters in spanish (considering that's what my parents spoke). When I gave her an angel figurine she said it reminded her of me. :) aww how sweet

Then there's my third grade teacher Mr. Walker. He was so cool and nice. He's probably one of the reasons I want to become a teacher when I grow up. I remember all the creative art projects we did in his class. like the time we drew a mural or when we made these cool ghost things...and so much more. I really liked how he would always tell us fairy tales and act them out and everything. After that class I even bought my own Grimm's Brother fairy tales.

Then in middle school, I always remember about Mr. Regier. He was sooo FUNNY. He is probably one of my most entertaining teachers ever. I dont think we learned much in his class--other than making outlines on our laptop :p. But he was super cool and would always tell us stories of the ridiculous things that would happen to him. Mr. Regier was a really interesting teacher, he had a certain way about him. Like the way he would walk...he had some swagger :). Or the way he would talk, which seemed like he would drawl. Or how he would make up lyrics to songs like Everybody in the club getting tipsy, and change it to Everybody in the field eating chips. hehe

So these are some of my fav teachers. There's also Mr. Omata and Mr. Olson. and so many more.

I'm pretty sure it was cassette. Well, I remember listening to the cassettes my parents had with music for little kids in spanish. There was this one cassette that I really liked but I dont remember who was the artist because I havent heard it in YEARS. So that's all I can really say regarding that. Oh, well there's also the fact that my dad loves music and he had a bah-zillion cassettes. I'm pretty sure he still has his hundreds of cassettes in our garage somewhere.

So...I dont think that would do much against being bitten by a poisonous snake.

and anyways, what type of snake are we talking about here? An anaconda or a garden snake? it'd be nice if we knew. Because if it's an anaconda, then there's definitely no doubt in my mind that the snake would win. But that's just my reasoning :]

It's called the Chicken Wing but it's pronounced Chicken Wang...more fun :D

So pretty much it just consists of flinging your hands in an up and down motion, kind of like wings, but not exactly. Like for instance, if you're doing it correctly, you SHOULD NOT look like you're flapping some wings. But it's similar to that but more stylish in the movement of your arms :p

If TV watching was an exercise it would help me out because I LOVE watching the television. I'm freaking addicted to reality shows! I watch everything pretty much. America's Next Top Model, Survivor, Hell's Kitchen, American Idol, Wipe Out, CSI, 90210, Dateline NBC, Without A Trace, Isa TKM, Who wants to be a millionaire and family feud--occasionally. And more shows that I cant recall at this moment. But don't worry I dont just sit there and watch every show all the way through, commercials and all, nope i record them :D so that i can pass through the commercials and the boring parts of an episode.

I think if watching TV was a way of working out, i would be anorexic, so not a good thing :/ since i'm an excessive tv watcher :p

I like to watch America's Next Top Model, American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance, Hell's Kitchen, Survivor, Dating in the Dark, the Bachelor/Bachelorette, Wipeout, Project Runway, and so much more. And then I like to watch ISA TKM, which is like a show for kids on Nickelodeon but from South America, so it's in spanish with english subtitles.
