My favourite sumer DRINKS (plural) are Pimms and Caipirinhas, the former is quintessentially British while the caipirinha is a Brazilian staple. Both are delicious - Pimms for a garden party, so tiny sandwiches, bite size cakes, while I'd have BBQ meat - and lots of it - with the caipirinha!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun by Cyndi Lauper
I've done it before! I was DREADFUL!!! Me and my friend Janet were in a bar in the city, and she signed us up for it. It was not really my kind of place - it was in the financial district in London, somewhere Janet had been to before. By the time that we were called up to sing, we'd had a few drinks, but this was NO EXCUSE - we just couldn't sing. I could see the compere wincing in pain at the horrible sounds that were coming from our mouths, and he hastily had to adjust the sound levels.
